Our Process
Our approach is all about fun, deep understanding, and exceptional quality.
Every client and project is unique, and we design our process to find the best path to the best result. We partner with you every step of the way to not only deliver a product you love but also to provide an experience you enjoy.
We ask a lot of questions to understand your point of view, and we always encourage openness and curiosity.
How it works
Due to the highly custom nature of our work, our process can vary slightly from project to project and client to client. However, our expertise is in interpreting your vision and making it happen. Typically, here’s how it works:
-
You have an idea (or maybe several…)
This could be anything from a few pieces of custom artwork in your home to creating numerous large-scale murals or wall coverings for your business or commercial space.
We gather some initial information to better understand your vision and the scope, including your inspiration, installation needs, timeline, and budget.
Here are some examples of questions we often ask to determine if we’re a good fit (check out our FAQs page)
(P.S. It’s OK if you don’t know and are just curious! We welcome inquiries of all kinds and are experts at guiding the process if you’re new to custom art.)
We often provide a basic proposal package that includes curated examples of our existing work along with descriptions and price points for you to get a better idea of similar or relevant projects.
-
Let’s get you some blueprints.
Your story matters, and we begin most artistic ventures with a kick-off discussion to learn more about it. We want to hear you speak about your ideas, the narrative, and anything relevant to the vision of what you hope to create.
Depending on your needs, this meeting can be anything from a brief phone call to a more involved in-person site visit.
-
Here we go!
Next, we’ll develop a custom design proposal package, complete with initial custom mockups that reflect the established guidelines we’ve set together (scope, budget, timeline).
In some cases, this phase might also help determine the budget by providing examples that illustrate various corresponding price points.
-
Let’s get it just right.
Sometimes we nail it on the first go, and sometimes we need to make some adjustments.
During this phase, it’s all about your feedback. Based on your input, we’ll revise the mockups, providing progress imagery and status reports as necessary to aid the process.
Typically, we have about two rounds of revisions with clients and this phase ultimately establishes a final design direction.
-
Now we’re cookin’!
At this point, your vision is taking shape. We’ve arrived at something you’re excited about and it’s production time! That is, it's time to bring that custom mockup to life by printing it, painting it, or whatever method makes your vision a reality.
-
the proof is in the pudding..
If we’re working on a wallcovering or some other printed artwork, we'll provide the option for you to review physical proofs of the art on a sample of the material so you can see how the finished product will look.
This is a measure we take to ensure the highest level of quality possible and—gasp, dare we say it—guarantee your satisfaction.
-
all wrapped up and tied with a bow
Ta da! Now it’s time to print, ship and install.
As your project rounds the corner into the home stretch, we see you through the steps that take your custom artwork to installation in its home.
This includes handling all project management and logistics, coordinating with our network of professional installers, and oftentimes being present onsite to ensure quality control.
We will take photos and share them with you, as well as share your project on our social media pages (unless you request we don’t).
-
how did we do?
The integrity of our work and your satisfaction in the final product are why we do what we do in the first place.
All of our clients have the option to schedule a post-mortem discussion with us to review what went well and what could be improved.
We care about your experience and your feedback, and we want to make sure we’re always improving!
